thats just politics, dennis

If there was ever any doubt that I am out of touch with mainstream America, just look at the TV shows I like. Specifically, look at the stream of TV shows that I liked so much they got cancelled.

Farscape? Cancelled.

Enterprise? Cancelled.

Firefly? Cancelled.

In the past few years, the regular channels have been serving the same old boring while the best TV shows have been on the FX network (with the notable exception of Battlestar on SciFi and The Daily Show and Colbert Report on Comedy Central).

Last season I looked forward to watching Over There every week. It got cancelled.

I also enjoyed (although not as much), It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, a quirky adults-only comedy. It went off the air and I thought that it too got cancelled.

But I was wrong!

IASIP has returned and it is the funniest sitcom on TV (neck and neck with the Colbert Report). For the second season they added Danny Devito and the show has gotten even cruder and funnier than before. (In the sake of full disclosure I must admit that this is the only show my wife refuses to watch with me because she finds it so offensive, so your mileage may vary.)

The episode where they get hooked on crack so they can get welfare. Hysterical.

The one where they sleep with people they hate (and parents) to hurt someone. Classic.

This show about 4 friends and one father is nothing like Friends but if you are ready for something a little different, check it out.
