heading home to watch the Final Four on TV!!!
One of the many things I love about basketball is that every game is a new game. Your team can play awful. Your team can rise above and play their best game ever. One of the things I love about college basketball is that anyone can win.
And today the Michigan State Spartans rose above and defeated the much touted Louisville Cardinals. Not only did they win, they made it look easy.
I dont really understand how the media decides which teams to rave about but year after year they barely mention MSU. And year after year, MSU does well in the tournament.
I have watched every game MSU played this year except for two (thanks Big Ten network!) and this is a great team. They have struggled to score. They have lost badly. But when they are in the zone, I think they can beat anyone. They never blow teams out but this year, they win.
Especially if Goran Suton plays well. The zone defense Louisville played today was pretty much designed to give Suton the ball. He played well. MSU won.

Guys named Dick
Which reminds me of last weekend and DICKie Vitale. (What is it with guys named Dick? Dick Vitale. Dick Cheney. ugh).
After MSU beat USC last weekend, Vitale was asked to comment on the game - and he talked about everything but MSU. Simply amazing.
I dont know what Vitale's problem is (other than being the Alan Greenspan of basketball) but his disregard of MSU is there year after year. This comment is just one of many. I cant stand the guy.
I dont think they were a #1 seed but MSU is going to Final Four. Suck it, Vitale. You and your Dukies can watch the game on the couch.
